Meet the experienced and friendly dentist and staff who make Rogue Dental the leading provider of oral hygiene and personalized dental services in Medford.

Dr. Richard Leong, D.D.S.

Dr. Leong has been providing dental care to Rogue Valley Families for over 30 years. He graduated from Georgetown University in Washington D.C., returning to the Rogue Valley where he spent most of his childhood.

Rogue Dental first opened its doors in 1987 inside the Rogue Valley Mall, moving to the current location in 1998. Dr. Leong feels grateful that he has the opportunity to provide care to the community; he enjoys building relationships with his patients, many who have been with him since he first started his practice. Dr. Leong strives to make a positive impact in the lives of others, consistently displayed through his kind and compassionate demeanor. “Doc,” as he is affectionately referred to by his staff, also serves as a part-time instructor for the Dental Assisting program.

In his free time, Dr. Leong enjoys playing tennis and traveling with his wife Dena.Their favorite destinations are Hawaii and NASCAR races.

Debbie, Dental Assistant

Debbie has worked with Dr. Leong at Rogue Dental for the past 25 years. She has enjoyed growing with the practice and feels that the relationships she has formed with patients has been extremely rewarding. “Watching our young patients grow to adults and have their own children has been an amazing experience!”

In her free time, Debbie enjoys DIY projects and traveling with Scott, her “sweet husband.” They especially like taking trips on the Harley. She also loves to garden; raising vegetables and flowers. In the summer, she keeps the office adorned with beautiful sunflowers from her yard.

Kim, Dental Assistant

Kim has worked in the dental field for over 30 years. This is the second time she has worked with Dr. Leong. She was part of the original crew when Rogue Dental was in the Rogue Valley Mall.

One of her favorite tasks is assisting patients with difficult decisions about their dental health. Providing information and experience to help guide the patient toward their best choice is a rewarding part of her profession. Kim feels blessed to be part of the special and caring team of professionals Dr. Leong has cultivated.

With her free time, Kim likes to camp, make jewelry and spend time with family. She has been married to her best friend for 28 years and has two grown daughters and one grandson.

Lori, Registered Dental Hygienist

Lori is originally from Louisiana. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene at Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, LA. Lori joined Rogue Dental in 1992.

Lori and her husband Randy, a Medford native, met at NLU and moved to the Rogue Valley in 1988.

Although Lori has pursued many hobbies over the years, her most current passions are quilting, knitting and building a fabric stash to last through her future retirement.


Melanie, Registered Dental Hygienist

Melanie worked with the Rogue Dental team from 1996-1998 and returned to the family in 2014. She has over 20 years of experience and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Oregon Institute of Technology. Melanie owns and operates Dental Hygiene Direct, offering mobile dental services to at risk populations.

Melanie customizes dental hygiene care for each individual and assesses patients’ needs at each visit. With the goal of optimization of oral health, she provides patients the skills to maintain that health for a lifetime. She will meet you where you are without judgement or lectures!

In her spare time, Melanie enjoys spending time with her  three children. She likes to read, scrapbook, do yoga, ride quads, ski, hike, swim and run. She recently completed a 1/2 marathon with a great PR!

She has a unique cat that has 7 toes on each of its front paws and calmly shares her food dish with skunks, raccoons, and birds.

Nikki, Office Coordinator

Nikki joined Rogue Dental in 2016, bringing over 20 years of management experience with her. She has worked in the dental field for 13 years and is very knowledgeable in insurance billing. She enjoys helping patients find ways to make their treatment affordable and manageable while maximizing any benefits they may have.

Nikki feels extremely fortunate to be a part of the Rogue Dental Family. “I take great pride in working with a team of such compassionate and skilled professionals. I confidently recommend our office to my friends and family, knowing that they will be excellent hands.”

A Rogue Valley native, Nikki enjoys long weekend getaways, hiking, whole food cooking, and home projects with her husband Randy. Nikki especially looks forward to quality time with her two grown children, Austin and Baylee. They are all foodies and share an interest in both sports and travel. After becoming an empty-nester, she adopted the role of “fur mama” to her Goldendoodle, Sprout.

Chelsea, Front/Back Office Assistant

Chelsea is Rogue Dental’s newest team member, but has been connected to the dental field her whole life. Chelsea’s mom, Kim, has been a Dental Assistant for 30 years and has influenced her decision to change career paths. The opportunity Chelsea had to join her mom on mission trips to Mexico, providing dental care to poverished communities, played a big role in her desire to work in this field.

Several years of office experience combined with a genuine compassion for people enables Chelsea to provide excellent customer service.  She offers courteous and efficient patient care with a contageous smile!

Newly married in the fall of 2018, Chelsea enjoys weekend trips to the coast with her husband Sky. She also enjoys camping in the woods and attending country music festivals. When Chelsea is not at work, she loves to cook and bake for friends and family. Chelsea has two cats that she adopted, finding them in her backyard. Their names are Crajjo and Mt. Shasta.
